December 12, 2012

Larson Tool and Stamping Company designs and builds new deep-draw stamping hydraulic press line in new expanded manufacturing facility in Attleboro, Massachusetts.

Attleboro, Massachusetts (PRWEB) December 11, 2012

Larson Tool and Stamping, a leading manufacturer of precision metal stamping and deep draw stamping, has completed construction of 2,500 square feet of additional space to its Attleboro, MA manufacturing facility to accommodate the addition of a new deep-draw hydraulic press line.

The new press line has a 300-ton capacity and is fully automated with a 5-station transfer system. It incorporates a zigzag feed to optimize material usage. The press and feed are part of a manufacturing system designed and developed completely by Larson´s engineering staff.

According to Chuck Cederberg, President of Larson Tool, “We utilized lean principles, including one piece work flow, providing a complete process from raw materials to packaged product. The automation system and press tooling were manufactured and installed in-house by Larson´s tool makers. Our investment in expansion and new equipment represents an ongoing commitment to helping our customers stay competitive in the marketplace.”

The new custom designed press line with its five-station transfer system required Larson to undertake the construction of the custom-designed 2,500 square foot addition. Designed from scratch, they were able to establish an arrangement of press line and related processes to create the optimal workflow and production efficiency. As part of Larson´s “Green Initiative”, radiant floor heating was installed to utilize heat from process cooling water.
