Honey, a new plugin that automatically finds the best available coupon codes at hundreds of e-commerce sites has been installed over 100,000 times since launching just before Thanksgiving kicked off the holiday shopping season. The online shopping companion has quickly spread by word of mouth and already ranks in the Top 10 shopping extensions in the Google Chrome Store with over 40,000 daily active shoppers, 2 million shopping sessions, $7.2 million in sales, and over US $90,000.00 dollars saved to date.

“We are so excited to have launched Honey right before the holiday shopping season so customers can take advantage of the best deals,” said co-founder Ryan Hudson. “The customer response has been tremendous and we are working hard to bring even more retail partners and services to our Honey users.”

Honey has added many more retail partners since their launch increasing consumers´ chance to shop for deals at major online stores including Bath and Body Works, Carters, Cold Water Creek, Express, Game Stop, Lenovo, L.L. Bean, Michaels, Origin, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Restoration Hardware, Sperry Topsider, The Limited, Urban Outfitters, Victoria Secret, and West Elm.

About Honey

The Honey plugin is free to use, with no registration or personal information required. Users download the extension to their Google Chrome browser to shop on hundreds of their favorite e-commerce sites like Amazon, Best Buy, Gap, Old Navy, Target, Zulily and Sephora. On the checkout page a Honey “find savings” button appears next to the coupon box. Users just click on this button and Honey takes over. It seamlessly crawls the web, searches for coupon codes that have worked for other people and tries them to see if they are valid. If a working code is found, Honey automatically applies it to the purchase and saves money for the online shopper. Savings can range from as little as a few dollars to over a hundred dollars.

If an online site is not yet supported, Honey members have the opportunity to request a new store. Social media conversations on Facebook and Twitter provide updates on new saving opportunities.
