PolicyPak Unveils Management Solution for WinZip

January 19, 2013

The WinZip Pak allows IT admins to manage critical settings using Group Policy.

(PRWEB) January 19, 2013

PolicyPak Software, the leader in Group Policy and desktop management, now has a solution for managing the critical settings in WinZip.

The pre-configured Pak for WinZip allows IT admins to enforce password requirements, remove the“Cameras” tab ability and setup Explorer Context Items. Additionally it gives admins the ability to enforce where users save, extract and store temp files. WinZip itself offers no native Group Policy settings to control key settings and PolicyPak fills that void. For more information on what the WinZip Pak can do, there´s a video on the PolicyPak website.

PolicyPak can deliver settings using Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy, Microsoft SCCM, Dell KACE, or any other management tool.

“With PolicyPak and the free Pre-Configured PolicyPak for WinZip, you get full control over WinZip using Group Policy. True granular control for each OU or user — using normal Group Policy controls,” says Jeremy Moskowitz, founder of PolicyPak Software.

Customers who use PolicyPak to manage WinZip are also able to manage all of their other enterprise desktop applications the same way, such as Firefox , Java, Acrobat, and custom applications. These other Paks are included free for PolicyPak Professional customers.

IT Admins can find out more about PolicyPak by attending a Group Policy Webinar at the PolicyPak Website, or by calling (800) 883-8002.
