EDMONTON, ALBERTA (PRWEB) January 22, 2013

SecurTek Monitoring Solutions announced today that Integrated Security Technologies (IST) of Edmonton has become the latest Authorized SecurTek Dealer. Established in 2000 to serve the needs of customers that seek specialized security monitoring solutions like home automation, video and access control products, IST’s decision to join SecurTek is motivated by the company’s ability to cater to more “boutique” customer needs, according to IST President Ron Varty, a 33-year veteran of the security industry:

“First and foremost, SecurTek is widely acknowledged as a monitoring technology innovator, by virtue of it being owned by SaskTel, a Canadian leader in telecommunications, data systems and technological convergence. This means SecurTek is on solid ground financially when it undertakes new projects. It also means that by time new products hit the market, they have already been battle-tested. So dealers have a greater assurance that there will be fewer kinks when newer products are installed.”

Ron Varty notes that what was particularly attractive from IST’s perspective, is the quality of SecurTek’s dealer program. “We took a long hard look at other dealer programs in the industry, and SecurTek’s came out on top because of its business model, where it does not compete with its dealers. If SecurTek was ever to start an installation division, it would be detrimental not only to its dealers, but to its bottom line as well.”

SecurTek Director of Dealer Relations Allan Varjassy welcomed the addition of a new SecurTek Authorized dealer in the Edmonton area. “Our organization has been actively recruiting new dealers across Canada this winter. We always look forward to serving our current and new customers in Alberta. To do this, we need independent dealers like Integrated Security Technologies, because customers have told us they prefer working with security industry specialists that have strong roots in local communities,” Varjassy noted.
