Sugar Sugar Cake Studio Uses Edible Image Design for Wedding Cake

January 31, 2013

Products from Icing Images gave Sugar Sugar Cake Studio a medium that allowed them to recently design a personalized wedding cake using an edible imaging system and icing sheets.

Winchester, VA (PRWEB) January 31, 2013

Sugar Sugar Cake Studio out of Phoenix, Arizona used icing sheets printed with edible inks to design a wedding cake that showcased the courtship of the couple to be married. The five tier cake stood at 6 feet tall and 300 pounds and was adorned with edible photographs that showcased the history of the couple´s courtship from meeting to engagement.

The images were printed onto the Icing Images Premium icing sheets and then applied to gumpaste sheets. The gumpaste sheets were ran through a pasta machine to achieve a consistent thickness. The printed sheets were individually trimmed and then applied to the cake and black ribbon was applied to separate the images.

The cake was featured in the January/February edition of American Cake Decorating magazine and Ted Scutti of Sugar Sugar Cake Studio told the magazine, “This was one of the most innovative designs we ever created.”

Scutti went on to say, “Icing Images products allowed us to bring our clients dreams to life. There is nothing more personal or romantic than edible snapshots of a couple’s courtship covering their wedding cake.”

“Our clients and their guests are continually astounded by the quality of the photos that we produce using the superior products from Icing Images. The fact that these images are entirely edible is always a topic of conversation among amazed party guests.”

We can design innovative edible image cakes with confidence because the products from Icing Images never let us down.
