The long awaited arrival of Sabai Technology’s newest operating system, Sabai OSv5, is finally here and has brought an entire new generation of VPN Routers with it. Sabai Technology revealed the complete lineup Friday, making the products available for pre-sale on their website. The company has been tight-lipped about exactly which models would be included in this generation of products and hopes that customers will be pleasantly surprised at the offerings.

“We have brought in a really top of the line offering with the Asus RT-N66U. Once we looked into the specs, it was a no-brainer. It is incredibly powerful and fast,” comments company representative, Anja Smith.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Sabai has teased about it’s first sub-$100 VPN Router offering. Coming in at $99 is the Belkin Share N300, which boasts a surprising level of specs for the price, including a 453 MHz CPU. Smith explains, “The reports on the Share’s performance in the field are great. We are interested to see how customers respond to the price point and a new brand.”

The Belkin isn’t the only new brand face in the lineup. The company also introduced a mid-grade NETGEAR, the WNR3500L. Rounding out the lineup is the continuation of the Linksys E4200, now with dual band activated, the Linksys E3200 and E2500.

Along with the router model unveiling, came first time details about the company’s new operating system, Sabai OSv5. The operating system includes a new interface design, improved gateway feature, cleaner code for a better user experience, better VPN Accelerator integration, simple product registration, and expanded VPN compatibility.

One of the OSv5 beta testers was quoted as saying, “The design is clearly laid out and I love the new Gateway section and that I can assign the [VPN Accelerator] automatically for all devices. I also noticed a slight speed improvement for the download part.”

Of all the new features and upgrades in the operating system, the company explains that the improved gateway feature is what customers will notice most. “Customers who like to manage all of their local and VPN devices from a single router connection will love the new gateway setup,” comments company Founder William Haynes. He goes on to explain, “The new Gateways is easier to use and more stable. We wrote this code from the ground up. The improvements are incredible.” Beta testers have called the feature, “hassle free” and “amazing.”

More information about the new operating system, OSv5, can be found on the Sabai Technology website and blog. Pre-sale prices are available until Tuesday and shipments of new products begin Wednesday.
