Service provides Families and Loved Ones the ability to Communicate and Share Support in Private Online Communities During Life´s Toughest Moments

Austin, TX (PRWEB) February 05, 2013

Connecting, sharing information and giving support to family members and loved ones that are going through personal health issues and life milestones just got a lot easier. Careio, a private social network, launched today in private beta to give families the power to enhance personal communication with relatives and friends online during the moments and milestones in life that matter most. Careio provides an interactive community built around private “Care Sites” that empower users to communicate in a private, safe, and supportive online space about the health, welfare and major life changes of friends and family members.

“I recently went through the experience of communicating with loved ones about the well-being of my grandfather as he battled with cancer, said Careio Co-Founder Jessica Meyer. “Other websites that we used during this period were not user-friendly, and did not involve any interaction between our family members and the most important people offering support: his close family and friends. Careio was built from the ground up to address these shortcomings, which makes it much more interactive, easy to use, and allows people to really see who is showing their support.”

Careio boasts a variety of convenient and helpful features that aid in communication among family and friends in ways that other social-media platforms and websites do not. Careio users have the ability to set up customized Care Sites for themselves, relatives or friends, and can then invite their family members and friends to communicate privately in one online community. Once the private site is created, authorized users can express their compassion, encouragement and support by posting comments, photos and videos to the private Care Site wall.

Additionally, friends and family members can share an uplifting notion chosen from Careio´s extensive encouragement database, opt to engage in Careio´s Prayer Forum, unlock badges and more. Sharing life experiences on Careio provides users with greater emotional support while reducing the time spent alerting friends and relatives of their latest story update. Also launching soon is the Careio mobile app for the iPhone, iPad and Android, which will make it even easier to share the family´s or loved ones latest health update.
