ConXtech’s Structural Steel Fabrication Factory Passes AISC Audit for Fourth Year in a Row with Zero Non-Conformances
This is the fourth consecutive year that ConXtech has not only been certified, but passed with a perfect score.
Hayward, CA (PRWEB) February 07, 2013
On January 16th, ConXtech´s manufacturing team passed its 2013 AISC Certified Building Fabricator audit performed by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). The company´s highly automated and technology centric steel fabrication facility in Hayward, CA once again passed the annual audit with zero non-conformances and no suggestions for improvement from the third party auditor. This is the fourth consecutive year that ConXtech has not only been certified, but passed with a perfect score.
“Our factory team is second to none,” states Robert J. Simmons, founder and CEO of ConXtech. “They are technology savvy and more inclined to think outside the box than the conventional steel fabricator. They work hard to simplify and error proof processes, so that we can deliver a more predictable and significantly more efficient structures”. Only a fraction of steel fabricators attempt to become AISC Certified, and only a fraction of those actually pass the AISC´s stringent audit process. “What sets ConXtech apart”, Simmons continues “is standardized work. This is paramount to ensuring we deliver the highest quality possible in the most efficient manner, and is also the foundation for our drive toward continuous improvement.”
During the audit, the AISC auditors verify that a quality management system is in place, implemented, and effective. Key audit criteria for AISC Certified Building Fabricators include training programs, documentation, and compliance and internal audit procedures for welding, bolting, contract document review, document control, purchasing, and inspection to ensure unmatched quality in the final product — the structural steel frame.
ConXtech pre-fabricates its innovative steel connections and components in a high production environment where CNC machine centers and other automated manufacturing technologies accelerate delivery and greatly reduce waste. The company is enabling other AISC Certified Fabricators, such as The Herrick Corporation, to streamline processes and automate their existing facilities by offering a turn-key ConX Factory which includes proprietary fixturing, jigs, and documented processes and procedures to produce steel building components and structural building assemblies with unprecedented speed, precision and quality.
