MyReportInfo.com Installs Backup Servers to Help Prevent Against Data Loss During a Natural Disaster
Protecting the integrity of customer data paramount for the company.
New Orleans, LA (PRWEB) February 07, 2013
MyReportInfo.com has created backup servers at remote locations to help avoid data loss during natural, manmade or terrorist disasters, the company announced today.
“When Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast, it got us thinking,” said company spokesman Josh Fraser. “While we didn’t have any server farms or data storage centers in those areas, if we had then we could have easily lost our public records database and our customer records. That would have been devastating to our company, so we need a way to avoid that.”
The company said they are concerned that changing weather patterns make it inevitable that a company with just one data storage location will eventually be hit by some type of catastrophe.
“In this day and age, you can’t simply have your data stored in one place,” Fraser said. “It’s not responsible. So, we have created six backup data centers around the United States. Any five of them could go down, but the one that remains would still be able to keep our database and our customer data safe and secure.”
Fraser said now that they have terrestrial-based backup servers and data centers, their next move will be to create backup data storage in the cloud.
“You can’t be too careful these days,” Fraser said. “We want as many backup options as possible online. Our customers’ private data is way too important to simply leave vulnerable to the forces of nature.”
