ArchiveFee.com To Add Gun Registration Records To Their Growing Database

Increased demand for gun records fuels decision.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) February 08, 2013

ArchiveFee has decided to add gun registration and gun license applications to the pool of public records available to their customers, company officials said.

“In the wake of recent deadly shootings, people are more aware of and concerned about gun ownership than ever before,” said company spokesman Josh Fraser. “People want to know if their neighbors have guns or if they are trying to get guns. We feel it’s appropriate to address their concerns.”

The company is currently in the process of collecting the data and hopes to have it available to the public in two or three weeks, Fraser said.

“Obviously this is not something we can simply upload overnight,” Fraser said. “These kinds of records are very sensitive, so they need to be double and triple checked before we release them. When it comes to guns, you don’t want to make any mistakes at all.”

There are many reasons why people might want to find out if someone they know has a gun or has applied for a gun permit, the company said.

“A woman has a right to know if her angry ex-husband is trying to buy a shotgun,” Fraser said. “People in general have a right to know if their neighbors have guns in their homes before they let their children play there. It just makes sense.”

The company said the move was not a judgment on people who chose to own guns.

“We respect the right to bear arms,” Fraser said. “But, we also respect people’s right to search public documents.”
