MedConnections, one of the world’s leading mobile health application development companies, announces the appointment of Kevin Woodard as President. Mr. Woodard brings with him over 25 years of health care financial management and business development expertise to MedConnections.

Prior to joining MedConnections, Mr. Woodard was Chief Financial Officer of Avivia Health from Kaiser Permanente, where he oversaw finance and business development functions. During his tenure there, revenues grew from zero to $20 million per year, servicing 1.5 million participants per year.

MedConnections´s flagship application, iPharmacy, has already helped more than 2,000,000 users improve medication literacy, medication adherence and reducing their medical and pharmacy costs. The iPharmacy app digitally improves medication adherence and includes: medication guide, medication reminder, medication list, pill identifier, prescription discount card, drug price comparison, FDA recalls and alerts. iPharmacy has helped patients lower medication costs, become more informed and empowered, and has improved behaviors toward medication therapy.

Mr. Woodard previous experience also includes co-founding Sterling HSA, a health saving account trustee and administration firm. Mr. Woodard also served as Vice President of Strategic Planning with Health Net. He contributed as an in-country foreign advisor to the US Agency for International Development´s health reform efforts in Russia. His technical background includes managing health economic departments for Prudential Health Care and Kaiser Permanente as well as experience as a CFO for an acute care hospital.

An honors graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Mr. Woodard has a BA Degree in Economics, and an MBA in Health Finance.
