Nomorerack Promises to Continue Charitable Donations

February 12, 2013

NEW YORK, Feb. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Nomorerack is an online e-commerce site that sells a number of brand name apparel and accessories for men, women, and children. The sites main features are their resplendently low prices and their special deals that only last 24 hours. While the site features their 24-hour deal, they also host a Charity Deal where money is donated each month to a selected non-profit charity.

A representative of Nomorerack explains that the company is “passionate about supporting a worthy cause. Each month we are committed to raising money for a different non-profit organization.” So, far Nomorerack has been doing a terrific job.

Nomorerack is committed to continue their charitable donations even though uncertainty about the 2013 market continues. According to Reuters, many wealthy investors plan to continue donating to charity. The amount they plan to donate will either continue at current level or increase. As investors are necessary for company survival, this is good news for small and large companies alike, and even greater news for charities worried about how the 2013 market may affect charitable donations.

While we’ve recently transitioned into a whole new year, many individuals and companies are pushed to donate at the end of the year around the holiday season. Requests for donations come from everywhere, but Nomorerack has created a very good strategy for focusing their donations. With a focus on one non-profit charity a month, they avoid the pressure and strain of feeling obligated to donate to multiple charities.

Indiana University’s School of Philanthropy was quoted in an article in The New York Times as suggesting that people pick only three to five charities to donate to than to give small gifts to a larger number of charities. While this is a great tip in general for around the holiday season, Nomorerack already has a solid charity system worked out for anytime of the year.

There remains fortunate news for charities, though. According to Philanthropy News Digest, the fiscal cliff may be a boon for charitable giving. By allowing charitable donations to be tax deductible, it is possible that there could be a “$3.3 billion, or 1.3 percent” increase in contributions relative to 2012. In addition, companies donating in 2013, may see more return for their donations. According to “Giving in Uncertain Times” published by U.S. Trust a charitable contribution of $100,000 in 2012 could equal a deduction value of $39,600 in 2013. This is a great incentive for companies like Nomorerack to continue to make donations of equal value or higher dollar amount than their previous years.

About: Amid uncertainty about the new fiscal year, Nomorerack will continue their monthly charity program, Charity Deal, to raise money for non-profit organizations.
