Adchem Corporation, a leader in engineering and manufacturing of high performance pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, adds 7833 PET, an elevated temperature acrylic adhesive transfer tape on a PET film liner for thermoforming in aerospace, automotive, appliance, electronic and medical applications.

The new 1.5-mil PET liner product carries a 3-mil pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive with a biostatic additive for mold control and is ideal for applications with intermittent temperatures to 300ºF. Adchem 7833-PET maybe pre-applied to thermofomable materials permitting forming to mild contours eliminating post-forming adhesive application to finished parts.

Adchem´s 7833-PET is available at 49 inches wide and joins the 7800 Family of adhesive tapes, which are available at 54 inches wide as 2, 3 and 4-mil transfer tapes using the same adhesive system. The 54-inch tapes are produced on a 74 lb. polycoated paper liner engineered for easy release from such fragile foams as melamine. Adchem´s 7800 adhesive transfer tapes provide excellent adhesion to many foams, and plastic materials including low surface energy (LSE) substrates.
