New NorthStar Battery App an Advanced Tool for iPhone and iPad

February 25, 2013

STOCKHOLM, February 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ –

NorthStar [http://www.northstarbattery.com ] has now released an advanced tool for the
Telecom, UPS and Engine Start markets – the NorthStar Battery App
[https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/northstar-battery-app/id571261700?mt=8 ].

The app includes site dimensioning tools, performance comparison guides, battery and
cabinet selection guides, product documentation, and even a tool to help you find the
nearest NorthStar distributor. And best of all: the app is free.

Since being released the app has already been downloaded hundreds of times. NorthStar
CEO Hans Liden says he understands why it has been so popular.

“The NorthStar Battery App is like a Swiss army knife – it’s a dozen tools all rolled
into one,” says Hans. “If you’re building a UPS datacenter, the app can tell you how many
batteries you need. Or if you want to compare how much you can save by using NorthStar
batteries and cabinets on your Telecom site, the app can tell you that too. If your car
won’t start and you need the best battery to replace it with, the app can show you the
closest store. I never leave home without it!”

The NorthStar Battery App has full support for iPhone 4 and 5, as well as native iPad
support. An Android version of the app is currently under production and is expected to be
released soon.

“At NorthStar we are always looking for ways to innovate to deliver premium products
and a high standard of service,” says Hans. “This app is another great example of that.”

Established in 2000, NorthStar designs and manufactures high performance lead-acid
batteries and energy-saving battery cabinets. NorthStar products are specifically
developed for Telecom Power Systems, Uninterruptible Power Supplies and Engine Start
applications – to provide longer battery life and a reduced environmental impact, at a
lower total cost. The company has state-of-the-art facilities in the USA, Sweden, China
and India, and their products are used in 120 countries worldwide.
