FALLS CHURCH, Va., March 4, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Torres Advanced Enterprise Solutions announced the opening of a state-of-the-art cybersecurity training facility at their global headquarters in Falls Church, Va. Torres will begin conducting cybersecurity courses at a range of expertise levels in March of this year. The opening of Torres’ United States training facility follows a sweeping success throughout South America, including a widely attended cybersecurity conference in the Paraguayan capital of Asuncion.
Classes will offer opportunities for students across the proficiency spectrum to master their cybersecurity techniques, from novice employee access awareness to advanced training for chief information security officers (CISOs). The Cybersecurity Advanced Offensive and Defensive Technical Course offers a boot camp-style four-week immersion in the principles and practice of cybersecurity.
Both day and night sessions will be offered in order to accommodate students’ diverse scheduling needs.
“Torres was among the first to recognize the relationship between cyber and physical security and combined them under a single Cyber-Physical Security Implementation Methodology,” says Jerry Torres, President and CEO. With this unique perspective, Torres AES will train the next generation of security professionals to address current and future threats.
The center will be equipped with all the latest equipment necessary to train students in the newest Cisco techniques, Sonicwall, VoIP intrusion, penetration testing, cyber investigation, risk management and protection from cell phone tracking, as well as the keys to building skills as a leader in cybersecurity. The training center operates 24 hours per day through VTC links that provide seamless, live global cybersecurity training in over 100 languages.
Says Torres IT Director Jeff Urban, “Prepare yourself for the new battleground at the Torres Cybersecurity Training Center.”
The opening of the Cybersecurity Training Center marks Torres’ United States debut in cybersecurity training. Torres’ 2012 Asuncion Cybersecurity Conference, the first in a projected series of international conferences on cybersecurity, drew 90 attendees, including top executives, chief information security officers, and former Paraguayan secretary of state Leila Rachid.
