LoudCloud Systems Launches Its Most Advanced Behavioral Learning Platform, Earns LTI Certification From IMS Global

LoudCloud 3.5 offers tight integrations with several third-party content providers and platforms, including YouTube, Khan Academy and Quizlet which allow students, teachers, and course administrators to search for and easily embed relevant supplemental content into baseline course materials without leaving the platform.

With this ability to self-publish MOOCs, universities can capitalize on their existing curriculum without going through open courseware providers like Coursera, Udacity and Udemy.

Integrated throughout the teaching and learning platforms is an intricate system of alerts and notifications that Kutty identifies as a key differentiator for LoudCloud. “We probably have the most comprehensive alerts and notifications system that allows teachers and students to set a variety of benchmark outcomes and trigger points,” he says.

With configurable notifications, students and teachers can use performance-based criteria to set pre-defined thresholds and receive alerts when performance falls beneath these levels, ensuring just-in-time intervention to remediate at-risk behaviors.

Two further innovations can be seen in the adaptive e-reader, LoudBooks(TM). An improved curation engine profiles learners based on their learning styles, matches them with pre-evaluated course materials and recommends additional personalized content tailored to each learner’s unique needs and behaviors.

A brand new “I Don’t Get This” feature allows students to “raise-a-hand” in real-time. Students can tag content they do not understand and access help immediately by initiating connections with their peers, mentors and teachers. Students and teachers can instantly create collaborative communities around assigned content and shared interests.
