Los Gatos, CA (PRWEB) March 12, 2013
Helen Pastorino, Founder and CEO of Pertria, a real estate investment firm in Los Gatos, California, has been selected to speak at the 2013 Enterprise Leadership Conference sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Santa Clara, Saratoga, Sunnyvale and Campbell.
Designed to enhance the leadership skills of the outstanding high school students in attendance, this event follows a 26-year Rotary Club tradition. The participants learn the opportunities, benefits, and challenges of establishing a business of their own or providing services in free enterprise systems.
This event affords a rare opportunity for 72 specially-selected local high school juniors. During the conference, they will create virtual businesses and develop a deeper understanding about the major factors involved with owning a company, simultaneously developing networks for the future, as well as lifelong friends.
Thanks to a gracious invitation from Rotary Club of Santa Clara members of the conference, Steve Rainbolt and Miles Barber, Ms. Pastorino will open the conference discussing leadership, a topic with which she has extensive experience.
“I am very much looking forward to speaking at this conference for our excellent local high school students,” said Pastorino. “Today´s business world is uncertain and constantly changing, something I deal with on a day-to-day basis. These students are the future business leaders of tomorrow and I hope to impart on them some of the wisdom I have gained over my lengthy career in the real estate industry. I hope this speaking engagement with the Rotary Club will be a wonderful experience not only for the students, but for myself as well.”
The three day conference begins with a keynote address by Richard Lowenthal, former mayor of Cupertino and co-founder and CEO of Coulomb Technologies. He is also a Rotarian. Last year´s conference held in March featured Jed York, president of the San Francisco 49ers, and Helen Pastorino, founder and CEO of Pertria, a real estate investment firm in Los Gatos.
“The students really take to this program,” said Bill Highley, Program Coordinator for the Campbell Club Reports.
This year´s Enterprise Leadership Conference will be held March 20 – 22, 2013 at the Asilomar Conference Grounds located in Pacific Grove, California.
