Yumi Media highlights Carrie Underwood and her healthy vegetarian lifestyle.

Bohemia, NY (PRWEB) March 25, 2013

On March 25, Yumi Media, a food website devoted to delivering the latest and greatest in food news, recipes, and products to incorporate into your own healthy lifestyle, highlights the vegetarian lifestyle of celebrity country music star Carrie Underwood.

According to Stylist Magazine, Underwood claimed to be 100 percent vegetarian while making every effort to conform to a completely vegan lifestyle.

“There are so many restaurants that will work with you — even steakhouses. My husband [NHL player Mike Fisher] loves to eat meat and there´s a place called King Prime that we like to go to,” says Underwood. “They´re always really nice to me and give me veggies if I ask for them. [There are] loads of newer restaurants in [Nashville districts] East Nashville and The Gulch that will cater for you too“¦”

Stylist Magazine reports that Underwood stopped eating meat as a child after witnessing her parents castrating the calves on her family farm in Oklahoma.

Underwood commented on the experience stating, “Mom after that was so mad at me cause I quit eating what the family ate. I couldn´t eat those precious cows. They were my babies. I bottle fed some of them. And now I knew where they went.”

Yumi Media spokesperson Justin Maas agrees with Underwood, suggesting that there is always a means to living a completely vegetarian lifestyle. “Foods like Quorn are always available and incredibly delicious. Made from mycoprotein, there is no question that Quorn ready-made meals are made from the healthiest ingredients and have the necessary nutrition to function as a meat substitute.”

Maas adds that Quorn complaints that depict a vegetarian diet in a negative way are outweighed by the poor health benefits of a diet based on meat consumption. “Adopting a meat-reducing lifestyle at the least is so much more beneficial to a person´s diet than not eliminating meat at all. Like anything else, follow what best works for you and don´t ignore the data that supports good health. I eat Quorn because it is easy — just like Carrie Underwood says it is.”
