Healthcare Solutions, the parent company of Cypress Care, ScripNet and Procura Management, today announced that Jim Andrews, R.Ph., executive vice president of pharmacy services for Healthcare Solutions, and David Theron Smith, divisional vice president of risk management for Family Dollar Stores, Inc., will present in April at the National Rx Drug Abuse Summit in Orlando and the Mississippi Workers´ Compensation Educational Association (MWCEA) conference in Biloxi, MS.

Andrews and Smith will address the potential problems associated with increases in prescription drug abuse and its dramatic impact on workers´ compensation claims. “We have been working with Healthcare Solutions for the past five years and have seen positive results,” said Smith. “During our sessions, I´ll explain how Family Dollar used clinical oversight and drug utilization management strategies to improve injured team member outcomes and decrease pharmacy costs by 48% since 2007.”

At the National Rx Drug Abuse Summit, Andrews and Smith will participate in the “Third-Party Payer Track: A Tale of Two Companies” session.
