Mobile Innovations Dictation Solution Speaks Volumes To Efficient Mobile Reporting With Voice-to-Text For Mobile Law Enforcement With BB10

March 28, 2013

Mobile Innovations announced the release of MPA Dictation for BB10 and PlayBook today. The new Voice-to-Text app streamlines and simplifies the mobile reporting process, making more and better intelligence securely available to the enterprise with personnel in the field.

Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) March 28, 2013

Mobile Innovations President and Founder Gary Bauer announced the release of Mobile Innovations’ new MPA Dictation for BB10 and PlayBook today. The secure voice-to-text transcription solution significantly reduces time and effort involved in producing reports done by mobile field staff.

MPA Dictation users speak into their BB10s and then submit the recorded audio of their report to a secure enterprise server. Shortly afterwards a text document is emailed back to the originator for review and verification. After making changes or corrections, the approved report is submitted and automatically sent to a secure enterprise server. All voice and text data is encrypted between the device and the server, so audio and text data is never saved or work on in the cloud, or crosses international boundaries.

Chatham Kent Police Services — an early adopter of many Mobile Innovations solutions for mobile law enforcement with BlackBerry and PlayBook– has been using MPA Dictation since Fall 2012. With implementation of this mobile voice-to-text solution, they have been able to streamline their entire reporting system, massively cutting back on the time and people required to produce more and more accurate reports. Previously, onerous reports like those for the Crown, activity reports, or witness statements that were intended to take a week or so, were taking a month or more to complete. Now they are back on track with timely report completion and submission.

Now widely available, Mobile Innovation’s MPADictation solution eliminates onerous note taking, hand writing or typing, and saves time producing any report involving one hundred words or so. It reduces the number of steps and staff involve and trims time and effort form lengthy tasks like keying in an incident report from handwritten notes at the end of a shift. Transcription from on-the-scene spoken word produces report content that is fresh with no requirement for long-term memory, so it tends to be more accurate and more detailed.

“BlackBerry is still the go-to platform for most police, judicial and government because of its unsurpassed security. No other technology can match the encryption levels for email, audio and text data.” Says Mobile Innovations President and founder Gary Bauer. “We’re working closely with partners who see the benefits we can offer to users who need to absolutely and completely keep all voice and text data encrypted and inside the enterprise, rather than outside on the cloud and exposed to being compromised.”

Aside from feeding more and better intelligence into the enterprise faster, MPA Dication allows individual users who are time constrained and budget restrained, to do more and better with less time and effort, allowing them to focus more on more pressing time-critical tasks. Chatham Kent and other police services report a more satisfied, productive staff when it comes to dealing with reports for management and the Crown.
