According to Forbes Magazine, being an entrepreneur can affect your health. It´s a fast-paced job with a lot of stress, long days and inconsistent scheduling. Sometimes it can be hard to make time to maintain a healthy lifestyle and improve energy levels.
Scott Brodsky, the founder of Empire Digital Products, says it can be hard to juggle being the CEO of a company and also finding time to do normal things outside work. “There are many things you have to take care of when you run a company,” he says.
The article says sitting at a desk all day can actually cause the body to turn more calories into fat, rather than burn it off. It also says fat is more likely to be stored around the stomach area.
“While working hard is important, you can´t be working all day every day. You need to take a break, whether it´s going out to lunch or it´s just getting up from your desk and walking around. This will keep you sane and also help prevent gaining some weight. You need to be active. It´s not healthy to sit all day anyway.”
While eating healthy might be the last thing on an entrepreneurs mind, Brodsky says more energy can be gained by eating more protein. “Energy drinks and coffee might seem like great ideas, but they are extremely unhealthy,” he says. “I would suggest getting out of the office for lunch and eating something simple with high protein and vegetables to give your body energy to make it through the day. Good food will keep your mind sharp.”
