San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) March 31, 2013

EMCO Software, a leading provider of network administration tools for Windows, has released a new version of its EMCO Remote Installer software designed to deploy Windows software remotely over a local network. Version 4.1 introduces a number of new features that should help network administrators to manage Windows applications and updates more effectively across an entire corporate network.

EMCO Remote Installer 4.1 allows network administrators to install Windows applications and updates silently to multiple remote PCs over a local network. In addition to supporting deployment f MSI packages, the new version of the application includes features to install and uninstall EXE setups and MSP patches remotely. Remote deployment of EXE setups is possible for all installations that support silent installation and uninstallation. To activate the silent deployment mode for EXE setups, network administrators need to specify installation-specific command-line options or install/uninstall the scenario file.

“The new deployment options introduced in version 4.1 of EMCO Remote Installer should help network administrators to manage software quickly and easily. Today, a lot of Windows software installations are available as EXE setups, and many EXE setups support silent deployment. Those installations can be distributed remotely to selected PCs using EMCO Remote Installer. Network administrators don´t need to perform manual installation on every PC, they can install and uninstall software remotely in the automatic mode on multiple PCs at once”, Thorarinn Oskarsson, CEO at EMCO Software, says.

Using EMCO Remote Installer, network administrators can automate all software deployment tasks using the integrated scheduler. It allows executing software install/uninstall tasks automatically on a specific date and at a defined time. Software inventory and deployment tasks can be executed recurrently, if required.
