According to the article published by Danielle Nierenberg of the Times of Trenton, the U.S. is one of the world´s biggest water users. The average person in American uses more water than about 900 Kenyans, the article says. Due to the U.S.´s overuse of water, natural resources are depleting. The article says there have been severe droughts in the last five years and 36 states are expecting to have difficulties providing water this year.

3,000 to 5,000 gallons of water is saved for every pound of beef not eaten, reports Earthsave.
“On factory farms, cattle drink a lot of water when they are grazing. If we don´t eat meat, we won´t need the meat produced from cattle, which in turn will save the water previously used to feed them,” says Wilson
