Airwolf 3D Releases New Affordable Large-Scale Desktop 3D Printer

April 6, 2013

Introducing a new tool for in-house low cost prototyping– AW3D XL. This is something bigger and better for desktop 3D printing.

Costa Mesa, California (PRWEB) April 06, 2013

Airwolf 3D, Inc. introduces a new tool for in-house low cost prototyping– AW3D XL. Capable of producing objects up to 670 cubic inches, the printer brings new flexibility to the desktop 3D printer market. Even better, AW3D XL offers high resolution capabilities and dependable performance for a fraction of the cost of traditional commercial-grade 3D printers.

Listed at $2,295, AW3D XL is fast and accurate, and capable of producing objects nearly three times the volume of most other 3D desktop printers. The strengthened and enhanced frame expands the maximum printing surface to 12″x8″x7″ and now features an embedded power source which eliminates desktop clutter. The printer´s removable nozzle offers options for high speed model production using a .50mm orifice or high resolution model production with a smaller .35mm orifice. The heated bed can now be temperature controlled for optimized printing using different materials.

AW3D XL retains the basic reliability of the original AW3D V.5.5, heralded by many as “indestructible,” and shares the appealing L-shaped architecture that enhances accessibility to its inner workings. Airwolf 3D printers are designed to be light, portable, and compatible with standard desktop dimensions. They can generate three-dimensional models from most drafting software, including Sketchup®, Solid Works® and AutoCAD®, within minutes using easily accessible and affordable 3 mm filament, such as acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), polylactic acid (PLA) and, in certain circumstances, polycarbonate and nylon.

Engineers, model makers, and hobbyists have found Airwolf´s desktop 3D printers key to timely design output. Their prototypes can be produced in minutes, allowing immediate access for assembly verification and functional testing. Money, as well as time, is saved by eliminating the need to outsource projects to prototyping service providers.

AW3D XL and the AW3D V.5.5 are available from Airwolf 3D, Inc. fully assembled or as 3d printer kits with complete user manuals and technical support. See the website http://www.airwolf3d.com for customer feedback, images, and specifications. To order, or for more information, call (949) 478 2933.
