Medistra Hospital, Jakarta Becomes First Hospital in Indonesia with Centralized Image Archive
Installs Mach 7 Technologies´ Keystone Suite to reduce film, improve patient care
Jakarta, Indonesia (PRWEB) April 07, 2013
Mach 7 Technologies (Mach7), a global provider of vendor neutral medical image management solutions, has signed an agreement with Medistra Hospital to integrate its flagship Enterprise Clinical Imaging Platform, Keystone Suite, with Medistra´s existing Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS) to improve workflow and reduce film usage, becoming the first hospital in Indonesia to achieve centralized image archiving.
The Keystone Suite Platform enables Medistra Hospital to send, receive, and store digital imaging studies across all imaging modalities from one central location. In addition to using Keystone Archive as a repository for medical image data, Medistra has configured Keystone Engine to improve radiologist productivity, streamline processes, and improve patient care. With the integrated solution, Medistra is the first hospital in the country to utilize a centralized archive.
The hospital aims to move away from paper and film-based workflow, and move towards a digital model leveraging a centralized solution for its network. Mach7´s innovative technology provides Medistra with the means to improve clinical processes, including rapid image availability for shorter reporting times, and full access to images across all departments.
Mach7 and Medistra have committed to reducing film usage by approximately 10% after the first year with the implementation of Keystone Suite.
“Mach 7 Technologies´ proven and innovative imaging solutions have effectively improved overall efficiencies and patient care at Medistra Hospital,” said Dr. Susilawati B., MHA, Director of Medistra Hospital. “Keystone Suite has enabled us to move away from traditional image viewing to a more sophisticated image management system.”
“Enabling Medistra Hospital to reduce film usage and create a centralized data center for their medical images will greatly enhance their productivity,” said Rudy Sugiarto, CEO at Mach 7 Technologies. “We are excited to help Medistra Hospital succeed in achieving their 10% goal to create a more environmentally friendly hospital in Indonesia.”
