College Scholarships Awarded to Three by Women of Teradata Employee Organization
Encouraging young women in non-traditional careers
DAYTON, Ohio, April 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Three high school seniors have earned college scholarships from Women of Teradata, an employee group of Teradata (NYSE: TDC), the leading analytic data company.
Recipients of the exclusive college scholarships are selected based on scholastic achievement, community service, financial need and demonstrated leadership potential. Scholarship applicants were all graduating high school women in a community where Teradata has an office. The school scholarships are awarded for the 2013-2014 academic year.
Women of Teradata President Kathy Edmons said, “We had a record number of applicants this year. We encourage and support their dreams to attend the four-year college or university in preparation for a career in science, technology, engineering or math.”
Local scholarship chairpersons this year were Sonya Stallings in Atlanta, Sherri Morgan in Dayton, and Robin Jessani in San Diego.
