Phone.com Growth Prompts Expansion In San Diego Area
Move to Poway space reflects increased demand for company’s cloud-based services
POWAY, Calif., April 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Phone.com, a cloud-based phone company focused on the needs of small business and entrepreneurs, today announced it has expanded its San Diego-area presence with new offices in Poway.
Phone.com now occupies 5,000 square feet of space at 14288 Danielson Street, where 25 employees work in network operations, customer support and developing new services and features. The company expects to add employees at the facility this year to accommodate growth.
Founded in 2007, Phone.com is a cloud-based telecommunications company that serves the needs of small business and entrepreneurs, typically those with fewer than 20 lines. The Poway location adjoins a building occupied by Tierra.net, Phone.com’s partner and data center provider since it began offering services. Phone.com employees had been housed in Tierra.net’s offices for several years.
