RetailFirst Insurance Company Launches User-Friendly Website

April 22, 2013

RetailFirst Insurance Company, a premiere workers’ compensation insurance provider for retailers, is pleased to announce its website has been launched.

LAKELAND, Fla., April 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — RetailFirst Insurance Company, a monoline workers’ compensation stock insurance company, is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, www.retailfirstinsurance.com.

The website is loaded with information and useful links for current insureds, prospective policyholders and agents. It features a sleek look, easy site navigation and a user-friendly intuitive search engine.

Aside from company history and financials, visitors to the site will also find the RetailFirst solution to industry-specific safety issues, agent and policyholder video testimonials, links on where to find a RetailFirst agent as well as learn more about state-of-the-art safety programs offered to RetailFirst policyholders.

“Our new site is designed to educate and inform retailers and independent insurance agents about the world of workers’ compensation,” said W.S. “Bill” Kundrat, Chairman of the Board. “Retailers can learn about the system and how it protects them and their employees; agents will discover that the site provides them with powerful sales tools that they can use when introducing their clients to our company.”

The Lakeland-based company was founded in 1979 as the Florida Retail Federation Self Insurers Fund and quickly grew to become the largest workers’ compensation self-insurance fund in the state of Florida. In November 2010, the Fund converted to RetailFirst Insurance Company, a stock insurance company within a mutual holding company system.

RetailFirst Insurance Company and its affiliate BusinessFirst Insurance Company make up RetailFirst Insurance Group, which is rated B++ (Good) by A.M. Best Company. Although the company has been in business for more than 34 years, it only recently became eligible to apply for a rating when it converted from a self-insurance fund to a stock insurance company.

“With our outstanding financial statements and long-term history of disciplined underwriting, loss control and claims service, we believe that the future is very bright,” said Kundrat.

RetailFirst is dedicated to helping businesses thrive. Since its inception, the company has provided workers’ compensation insurance for hotels, restaurants, automotive dealers and small businesses. RetailFirst offers a full menu of workers’ comp services that are designed to keep employees safe.

“We think in terms of safety, and we can help employers of all sizes identify potentially dangerous working conditions and offer recommendations to correct any problems,” Kundrat said.

RetailFirst will continue to build upon and grow their new website throughout the year and will soon feature an interactive blog, more industry case studies and video testimonials. The company also plans to launch a website for its affiliate BusinessFirst Insurance Company in the coming months.

RetailFirst Insurance Company and its affiliate BusinessFirst Insurance Company insure more than 11,000 businesses throughout Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina and Tennessee. The day-to-day operations of both companies are managed by Summit, a workers’ compensation company with more than 30 years of experience.
