KPMG and Intelligent Licensing announced an agreement between the two firms.

Walnut Creek, Calif. (PRWEB) April 25, 2013

KPMG AG Wirtschaftspruefungsgesellschaft and Intelligent Licensing Corporation announced an agreement between the two firms to jointly address the burgeoning Software Asset Management (SAM) market for SAP deployments.

“Enterprises will spend more than $18 billion this year on SAP licenses and maintenance. Enterprises increasingly want to bring their SAP licensing into their SAM program as they recognize the importance and efficiencies in controlling their spiraling software costs and optimizing their software deployment,” said Carsten Lang, partner at KPMG. “By paying greater attention to their SAP licensing environments as they have for other software vendors, they can begin to attain significant savings by reducing initial purchase expenses and ongoing maintenance costs.”

Drawing on Intelligent Licensing´s flagship product, the Dynamic Licensing Suite, the companies can jointly provide a comprehensive set of applications and processes that enable SAM practitioners to carry out a discovery process, develop a baseline inventory of SAP licenses provisioned, optimize their license inventory and assure compliance with SAP license types and roles.

“KPMG is a leader in advising large enterprises in the development of their SAM program as well as providing certification for SAM practitioners in the industry. By combining their deep knowledge and our powerful software, we can help SAP customers better understand what software licenses they are using and how best to assure they are getting the best return from that investment,” said Alf Goebel, vice president sales & marketing at Intelligent Licensing.
