According to a 2011 Demographics Report from the U.S. Department of Defense, there are 3.6 million active duty personnel, of which 43.9 percent have children, and more than 37.4 percent of those children are under the age of 5 years old.

“Care.com has a long-standing relationship with military families and we want to thank them for their service once more,” said Michael Marty, Vice President, Strategic Operations and military veteran. “Locating quality care is difficult for any family, but military families face a unique set of challenges like finding care during deployments or at a new duty station every few years.
