ABBYY Introduces Mobile, Invoice Initiatives at Inaugural ABBYY Technology Summit
Resellers From U.S., Mexico and Taiwan Receive Insight into ABBYY Data Capture Solution Roadmap and Partner Program During Two Day Summit and Award Ceremony
MILPITAS, Calif., May 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — ABBYY, a leading provider of document recognition, document capture, and linguistic technologies and professional services, held its inaugural ABBYY Technology Summit April 24-25 in San Jose, Calif., introducing reseller partners to several new company initiatives. Resellers from throughout the U.S., Mexico and Taiwan gathered at the summit to get insight into ABBYY’s data capture solution roadmap; discuss new initiatives and learn more about the updated ABBYY partner program. Attendees were also given in-depth overviews on ABBYY’s new mobile capture solution and Invoice Accelerator, as well as enhancements designed to make integration with ECM, ERP and other line-of-business applications easier.
“Last week’s ABBYY Technology Summit was a critical milestone for the company as it was another step in our continued effort to bring more value to our reseller partners,” said Bill Kouzi, vice president of sales, distribution for ABBYY USA. “Combined with the new partner program we announced earlier this year, the Summit gives our resellers the tools to better identify market opportunities, accelerate sales and meet their revenue goals. We look forward to working closely with our partners both at future Technology Summits and one-on-one to expand the reach of our data capture solutions and meet their customers’ needs.”
The ABBYY Technology Summit provided opportunities for attendees to learn about the company’s mobile capture solution and new Invoice Accelerator, identifying new revenue prospects for partners. ABBYY’s mobile capture solution allows VARs to extend FlexiCapture functionality by capturing documents with mobile devices, enabling documents to remain in the same workflow and process as if they had been captured using a traditional scanner. Leveraging ABBYY’s mature mobile technology, the mobile capture solution enables VARs to expand their offerings to customers with out-of-the-box mobile solutions. ABBYY’s Invoice Accelerator answers customer demand for invoice capture products with quicker time-to-value. It is optimized to support out-of-the-box data extraction for invoices, regardless of layout. This makes it easier for partners to offer invoice processing services to their customers, creating recurring revenue opportunities.
“Access to information has never been more critical to the success of organizations in every market sector and in every region,” said Aram Pakchanian, director of worldwide data capture business at ABBYY. “Our data capture solutions make it easier for valuable information to be unlocked from paper documents and photos and shared throughout the organization. This enables faster, more informed decisions to be made, giving a competitive edge and delivering value to the organization.”
Sponsored by ABBYY partners Fujitsu, Docuware, D.velop, Epson, FileBound, OfficeGemini, Panasonic and NewWave the two-day ABBYY Technology Summit included a full agenda of product overviews and roadmap previews. VARs participated in discussions on the product direction and joint sales, marketing and client service initiatives.
