solutions, has announced the availability of the next-generation EyeR-Core(TM) thermal
video engine (camera core) platform. With this enhancement, Opgal becomes the only camera

detection, together with the cost and reliability advantages of microbolometer technology.
The engine features 500g at 0.5msec shock absorbing capabilities ‘ ideal for thermal
weapon sights, low-power consumption for handheld applications, and a 640×480 17mu focal
plane array. The device’s innovative field-proven shutterless operation enables the engine
to work continuously for non-uniformity corrections (NUC) in real time. EyeR-Core(TM) has
no moving mechanical components, which further increases the engine’s reliability and
allows for a smaller footprint.
Based on many years of technology development and working closely with customers, the
upgraded EyeR-Core(TM) is designed to meet manufacturer and integrator needs. With an
interchangeable FFF and an optimized SWaP ratio, the EyeR-Core(TM) is an extremely
flexible platform ‘ suitable and customizable for a broad spectrum of defense, security
