Mercury Payment Systems has chosen Novatus Contract Management as its contract lifecycle management provider. Novatus is an industry pioneer and recognized leader in SaaS CLM software that integrates with other internal software programs, providing flexibility, profitability and productivity for companies around the world.

Mercury´s CEO tasked the general counsel of the company to find more efficient ways to not only track contracts throughout the organization, but to be able to manage the entire CLM process from a legal and compliance point of view. Items of particular importance in finding the right solution included the ability to administer key approval processes, reach across departments — including legal, procurement, and sales – and integrate with both an existing CRM database system and the company´s upcoming adaptation to SalesForce, which is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2013.

“Mercury´s timeframe was tight, as they were looking to have a new CLM system in place by the end of 2012,” says Novatus Vice President of Sales, Michael Torres. “We were able to offer solutions to each one of their needs, but most importantly, we could do it quickly to meet their deadline successfully and competently.”

After an initial meeting in November, 2012, the Novatus team assessed Mercury´s needs and were able to put together a comprehensive plan and strategy that provided the functionality they needed to manage the company´s complex internal workflow while meeting the specified tight timeline for implementation. With speed, flexibility, and industry recognized expertise, Novatus was able to have Mercury´s new CLM system up and running by the end of 2012.

“We needed a solution that offered powerful feature set, ease of use for our team, and provided the ability to grow with our business,” says Mercury´s General Counsel, Ross Agre. “Michael and the team at Novatus not only were able to meet all of our needs, but most importantly, were able to do it efficiently and effectively within weeks.”
