Compuquip Technologies Reorganizes, Establishes Dosal Capital Holding Company to Drive Future Growth

May 6, 2013

Newly formed holding company plans to invest in Florida-based entrepreneurial ventures while continuing to manage and grow its existing portflio of family-owned businesses.

Miami, FL (PRWEB) May 06, 2013

The management team of Compuquip Technologies today announced it has formed Dosal Capital, a family-owned and -operated holding company for the portfolio of businesses it currently operates and those in which it expects to invest in the future.

With this reorganization, Compuquip and its sister-companies Blue Wave Communications and BrightGauge Software become operating companies of Dosal Capital. Company founder and family patriarch Alberto Dosal serves as chairman and CEO leading the strategic direction of the newly created firm, while sons Eric and Brian Dosal serve as directors driving the growth of its operating companies. The new structure further streamlines the company´s marketing platform and enables Dosal Capital to establish a uniquely identifiable brand with its own logo, website and mission.

“The new name reflects our family´s legacy, our entrepreneurial passion and our drive to invest in and build profitable businesses that meet market needs,” said Alberto Dosal. “Bringing our current portfolio of companies under one cohesive and distinct brand enables us to remain focused on growing our current businesses while establishing a platform in which we may leverage our financial, operational and managerial experience to help other businesses achieve similar success.”

In 1980, Dosal founded Compuquip Technologies, which today is one of the oldest family-owned providers of Internet security services based in South Florida. More than two decades later, he expanded into voice- and date-cabling services with the formation of Blue Wave Communications. In 2007, he and his sons established a Managed IT Services subsidiary, which the family grew and sold in 2012 to All Covered, a division of Konica Minolta Business Services. Leveraging their experience in managed services, the family in 2010 introduced BrightGauge Software, a web-based business-analytics platform that enables managed IT services providers (MSPs) to generate customizable performance reports and dashboards that improve the efficiency of managing their businesses.

“While our business model has evolved over the past 33 years, we have always maintained a strong focus on innovation, job creation, professional development and client satisfaction,” Dosal added. “We look forward to applying these principles to acquire, invest in and build more locally-grown businesses into regional and global powerhouses.”
