Leading International Retailer Woolworths Builds Out Growing Business with Teradata Analytics

Australia’s largest retailer has successfully integrated and consolidated on new Teradata data warehouse platform

SYDNEY, May 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Teradata (NYSE: TDC), the analytic data solutions company, announced today that Woolworths Limited, based in Australia and one of the world’s top twenty retailers, has completed implementation of its Teradata Data Warehouse Appliance platform in collaboration with Teradata Professional Services. The new data warehouse environment, fusing the most powerful new database software and hardware, serves as the point of integration for continuously rising volumes of detailed customer data.

The Woolworths data warehouse will receive fresh data from transactions across the enterprise, including daily point-of-sale information.
