Skills® and Jacksonville School for Autism Partner to Host Autism Intervention Seminar May 9 for Educators and Practitioners

Attendees will learn about the latest, most effective advancements in technology that help children reach their highest potential.

Skills®, the Center for Autism and Related Disorders´ online autism solution, and the Jacksonville School for Autism are teaming up to host the “Autism Intervention Seminar” on May 9, 2013, in Jacksonville, FL. The seminar is designed for educators and practitioners and will teach attendees the latest, most effective advancements in technology that help children with autism reach their highest potential.
The seminar will focus on implementing Skills®, an innovative web-based program, and integrating it into the treatment programs of children on the spectrum. Skills® offers the first and only ABA-based comprehensive social skills, social cognition, and executive functions curricula that provides the ability to write behavior intervention plans for challenging behavior. Skills® gives educators and practitioners the capability to achieve positive results with every child.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 1 in every 88 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with an ASD and a new survey suggests that as many as 1 in every 50 children may be diagnosed with ASD, making it more prevalent than juvenile diabetes, pediatric cancer, and childhood AIDS combined.
