Angie’s List has teamed up with Katherine Legge for the 2013 Indy 500.

Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) May 20, 2013

Angie´s List is sponsoring Katherine Legge, who earned her way into the fabled Indianapolis 500 mile race after spending most of last week looking for a ride and still on the bubble for a spot with 20 minutes of Bump Day remaining yesterday.

“It’s great to see so many women on the track this year,” said Angie´s List Founder Angie Hicks. “Katherine has made her home here in Indianapolis, and we’re hoping to see her No. 81 car at the head of the pack on Sunday.”

Legge is driving for Schmidt Peterson Pelfrey Motorsports. In her rookie year at Indy last year, she finished 22nd after starting at the 30th position. She had averaged 223.176 mph to earn her spot this year with less than 5-and-a-half hours to the end of Bump Day.

“I had to fight to get into this year’s Indianapolis 500, and that wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Angie’s List,” Legge said. “This is the most important race in the world, and I’m proud to have Angie’s List on my car for the world to see.”

One of four female drivers, Legge will start from the back row in the 33rd position on Sunday.

Team owner Sam Schmidt: “Angie’s List is a company that has grown from small roots to provide a valued service to people everywhere. With their help, we will chase our first-ever Indianapolis 500 victory.”

Angie’s List, headquartered in Indianapolis, has sponsored drivers in the Indy 500 since 2008.

“Katherine has proven to be a relentless competitor with a razor sharp focus on what she wants to accomplish,” Hicks said. “We really respond to that kind of spirit around here at Angie’s List, so we’re thrilled to partner with her.”
