Bigcommerce Taps HubSpot Alum for New VP of Product Marketing and Brand Strategy
Inbound marketing leader and product evangelist joins Bigcommerce executive team
AUSTIN, Texas, May 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Bigcommerce, the leading e-commerce platform for fast-growth small to medium businesses, today announced that Kirsten Knipp is the company’s new vice president of product marketing and brand strategy.
With more than 10 years of product strategy and inbound marketing experience, Knipp’s results-driven marketing expertise is well suited for Bigcommerce. Formerly at HubSpot, she led product marketing and evangelism, managing product content, sales enablement, customer stories and events — including the first two HUGS user summits which are now annual events that draw over 5,000 marketers. Most recently at SolarWinds, she led a team responsible for lead generation across multiple product lines and managed a cross-functional sales and marketing team. Previous senior marketing and strategy leadership roles include Vignette (acquired by OpenText), Intel and Siemens.
Knipp is based in Austin, Texas and welcomed the opportunity at Bigcommerce.
