EMCO Announced Availability of the New Version of EMCO Network Inventory

May 31, 2013

EMCO Software has released a new version of its EMCO Network Inventory software designed to audit software and hardware assets on remote PCs connected to a LAN/WAN.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) May 31, 2013

EMCO Software, a leading provider of software and hardware audit solutions, has announced a new release of EMCO Network Inventory software designed to audit remote Windows PCs in local networks. The new version of the application introduces new features that can help network administrators to detect custom applications installed on remote PCs but not registered in Windows. These new features allow detecting specific files matching the defined conditions on remote PCs. The application allows generating customized software inventory reports for the entire network that include a list of custom software and its versions installed on remote PCs.

EMCO Network Inventory is network audit software that allows network administrators to collect information on thousands of types of hardware and software assets installed on remote PCs connected to a LAN/WAN. The application can extract information about each and every asset with all details available for Windows OS. For example, it can extract information about the installed memory, the memory type used, the number of memory banks and empty banks, etc. If the hardware serial number is available for Windows drivers, EMCO Network Inventory can report it as well.

EMCO Network Inventory allows auditing not only the hardware used but also the software installed on remote PCs. It extracts information displayed in Windows Add/Remove Programs from every remote PC. This software inventory information can be extended by customized inventory reports generated using certain defined criteria. Based on the information collected from remote PCs, the application can generate a software inventory report for the entire network showing the number of instances every application has been installed across the network. The number of reported installations can be compared with the number of purchased licenses to find software with unused licenses or requiring purchasing additional licenses.

Network administrators can also use the advanced reporting options available in the application. If they need to see specific inventory information using specific conditions, they can resort to direct access to the inventory database to run custom SQL queries. Also, they can use a number of predefined reports to represent the inventory information in certain ways, or create custom reports using the visual report builder.

Pricing and Availability

There are three editions of EMCO Network Inventory offered with different sets of features and at different prices. All the application editions can be evaluated for free during 30 days. The evaluation version of the application allows auditing up to 25 remote PCs. It can be downloaded without registration at http://emcosoftware.com/network-inventory. Extended evaluation licenses for large networks are available on request.
