Mock Meet & Confer, Judges Roundtable are Among Interactive Sessions in an Intensive Week of eDiscovery Education

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) June 03, 2013

GGO, creators of the Digital WarRoom platform for accessible, affordable eDiscovery, today announced that eDiscovery consultant, author and attorney Tom O´Connor will participate as a volunteer faculty member at the 2013 Georgetown eDiscovery Training Academy in Washington DC. The intensive 6-day eDiscovery education program will take place at the Georgetown University Law Center, June 2 — 6, 2013.

Tom will join an esteemed group of e-discovery experts, including Michael Arkfeld, Craig Ball, Maura Grossman, Mark Sidoti and others, who will lead teach a curriculum addressing the full scope of the practice of eDiscovery. Faculty members Hon. John M. Facciola, Magistrate Judge U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and Hon. Paul W. Grimm, District Judge U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland will hold a special roundtable session, providing insight into judicial expectations of practicing attorneys.

A modular format throughout the program encourages the class to explore the broad spectrum of strategic, legal, and technical aspects of this complex field, while participating in an active learning model. “The course includes a mock meet & confer, led by Michael Arkfeld and Craig Ball,” said O´Connor. “We´ll have an IT expert and an attorney on each side of the mock matter, discussing eDiscovery challenges before Judges Facciola and Grimm. Anytime a legal team can practice or observe a meet & confer interaction in front of distinguished judges — that´s a prime learning opportunity. We are proud to support this important effort.”
