Celebrity Business Analyst Examines Lions Gate’s Success as Company Hits All-Time High

June 4, 2013

Celebrity Business Analyst examines the current success of Lions Gate Entertainment as the company ends its 2013 fiscal year with huge numbers on the books. The analysis takes place on the heels of a CNN Money report about the studio´s achievements, due in part to its films based on young adult novels.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 04, 2013

Celebrity Business Analyst has released a report on Lionsgate Entertainment´s fiscal 2013 triumph. After a May 31 CNN Money report on Lions Gate´s successful year, C.B.A. gives its opinion on how the production company came out on top this year with numbers that were much higher than expected.

Lions Gate Entertainment published its fiscal 2013 report last week, which revealed that the company´s revenue reached a total of $2.71 billion, up by 71% compared to 2012. The company´s stock also went up by 8%, pushing it to an all-time high last Friday.

With these numbers in mind, CelebrityBusinessAnalyst.com developed a few ideas as to what drove the studio´s numbers up by such a large sum. A major contributor, says Celebrity Business Analyst, is the fact that Lions Gate has released some major titles based on popular young adult novels. The Hunger Games alone brought in a domestic total gross of over $400 million. The company´s success can also be attributed to its acquisition of Summit Entertainment, gaining the rights to The Twilight Saga as well. The last installment in the five-part saga grossed more than $292 million stateside. Warm Bodies, another popular novel-turned-movie, brought in just over $66 million.

Celebrity Business Analyst thinks that Lions Gate, with another three Hunger Games films in its pocket, has a bright future ahead if it keeps appealing to younger crowds by making movies based on popular young adult novels. Also contributing to Lions Gate´s achievements are such popular television shows as Mad Men, Nurse Jackie, and Nashville all of which can be watched on home dish network packages.

Celebrity Business Analyst released its analysis of Lions Gate Entertainment´s fiscal 2013 report and is of the opinion that the production company made a smart move in acquiring rights to series like The Hunger Games.
