Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) June 07, 2013

NewCloud Networks, (http://www.businesscontinuityprovider.com) a national Cloud Services provider based in Denver, Colorado is introducing a host of business continuity management solutions for small and medium sized businesses around the country. The business continuity suite contains solutions protecting the most critical components of business functions: voice and data.

“℠Business continuity management´ is a term referring to the proactive measures businesses take to minimize downtime in the event of an internal or external catastrophic event; things like natural disasters, emergencies, or other negatively impacting circumstances. Business owners are realizing now more than ever, the importance of data protection,” says NewCloud´s Founder and President, Sam Kumar. The business continuity management services offered by NewCloud include Backup and Disaster Recovery, Virtual Desktops and Hosted PBX.

The NewCloud Backup and Disaster Recovery (BDR) product is a disk-to-disk-to disk solution consisting of an onsite appliance which backs up the customer´s server(s) at pre-determined intervals. The appliance is capable of taking a backup every 5 minutes and the solution is granular enough to restore even a single file or email that may have been lost or accidentally deleted. In the event of a server damage or crash, the appliance acts as a replacement server, making it possible to restore server function in a matter of hours rather than days.

The disaster recovery component of the solution comes in the form of Cloud backup (http://www.cloudbackupdisasterrecovery.com) from the appliance to the NewCloud data center. The image from the backup appliance is transferred over the internet at daily intervals to the data center in the Denver Tech Center. “Our data center is fully secure, redundant and located in a geographically safe area, making it possible for us to ensure the security and availability of our customers´ data in the event of a catastrophe,” says Kumar. If customers end up in a business-paralyzing situation such as fire, flood, earthquake, etc., they simply call NewCloud to have a virtual instance of their server spun up from the data center in a matter of hours. For businesses relying on their data for day to day and/or revenue generating functions, the BDR solution from NewCloud proves ideal.

Virtual Desktops provide another layer of business continuity assurance in the event of a disaster. These desktop environments are hosted offsite, rather than living on a physical machine. They have the same functionality as a traditional desktop; so much so that users often times don´t know the difference. Virtual Desktops make it possible for businesses to avoid downtime in the event that their normal day to day operations are halted.

Not only do Virtual Desktops (http://www.virtualdesktopinthecloud.com) provide an automatic business continuity solution for desktops, but they also provide an extra layer of security in this age of “BYOD” (bring your own device). If a company using a BYOD policy terminates an employee, their desktop is simply deactivated and the information remains secure. NewCloud´s Virtual Desktops are hosted in their data center and accessible from any device with an internet connection including laptops, desktop PCs, tablets and thin clients. The Virtual Desktop infrastructure at NewCloud Networks is powered by VMware, the leading virtualization platform for servers and desktops.

Hosted phone systems (hosted PBX or VoIP systems), are phone systems in which the features are managed from the internet, rather than on-premise equipment. Customers use a web-based interface to manage calling features, including automatic call forwarding. This proves advantageous from a business continuity standpoint because the user has the option to set “call forwarding on unavailable” as soon as the system is installed. This setting provides a failover for each user in the business group. In the event of any power outage or internet failure (whether due to natural incidents, provider issues, or user error), incoming calls are automatically diverted to an alternate phone number, making it possible for the customer to continue phone operations uninterrupted. Kumar states that “When business-impacting events happen, we know our customers want access to their services as soon as possible to keep from losing revenues. It´s comforting for them to know that NewCloud is there to assist in that process by providing that accessibility quickly and with minimal effort, even in the direst circumstances.”

The NewCloud business continuity products are ideal for SMBs with 10-100 workstations and/or multiple locations. Pricing varies depending on company size, number of locations and the amount of data being backed up. All solutions are custom designed by the NewCloud Sales Engineers.
