“Adapt.Convert.Transform.” C2G is helping customers navigate the analog sunset.

(PRWEB) June 12, 2013

C2G (http://www.c2g.com), the preferred provider and trusted expert of high performance cabling and connectivity solutions, recently launched an integrated marketing campaign, “Adapt.Convert.Transform.”, to support the transition from analog to digital connectivity. The analog sunset is a reality, being informed is critical, planning is essential, and the solutions from C2G ensure a smooth transition. C2G announces the availability of new products such as the TruLink® High Speed HDMI® Active Optical Cable, C2G ProFit A/V, HDMI over Cat5, TruLink A/V Controller, DisplayPort Wall Plate Adapters, and a USB Superbooster for Interactive Whiteboards. C2G will highlight these exciting, innovative new solutions at InfoComm 2013. Additionally, Joe Cornwall, CTS-D, ISF-C, and Technology Evangelist at C2G, will conduct two informative educational sessions during InfoComm focusing on digital video technologies and preparing for the future.

The new line of TruLink® High Speed HDMI® Active Optical Cables (AOC) is plenum rated and offers either USB or in-line power options. This cable extends high definition A/V signals over distances of up to 50 meters and is designed for commercial environments. Utilizing AOC technology that performs similar to traditional copper cabling, the optical fiber construction between the connectors provides optimum performance and easy installation. The cable diameter is smaller and more flexible than a copper cable, making it easier to install in tight in-wall spaces. Built from fiber strands, this cable reduces the risk of EMI/RFI so performance is stable when used in typically high interference environments.

The C2G ProFit A/V is a reliable and proven integrated solution. It is designed to save time for the specifier and installer, providing a single solution for the audio/video and control infrastructure in a learning/sharing/collaborating environment. Specifying a single part number reduces the time required to build a comparable solution. The design and engineering of the C2G ProFit A/V makes it easier to install than the individual components included in the solution. The cable connections are color coded and labeled, also ensuring a quick and easy installation. Devices within the plenum box are mounted in an orientation that allows for easy access to controls for adjustments or fine tuning of the audio/video signals. Additionally, the C2G ProFit A/V is designed to meet the requirements of an installation in a plenum environment.

The HDMI over Cat5 solution included within the C2G ProFit A/V utilizes HDBaseT technology to provide a digital audio/video connection from the source to the projector at video resolutions of up to 1080p. At the same time, the VGA + 3.5mm + Composite Video + Stereo Audio over Cat5 provides analog audio/video connectivity from multiple sources, such as a laptop or DVD player, to the projector. The final component within the C2G ProFit A/V is the TruLink A/V Controller which provides a solution for control of the in-room projector, allowing easy switching between source devices and powering the system on or off.

The DisplayPort to HDMI, DVI, or VGA Active Adapter Wall Plates convert a DisplayPort video output to HDMI, DVI, or VGA using a wall plate–which offers a more secure installation option over traditional adapter dongles. The Decora style wall plate provides a secure mount within the wall, reducing the likelihood of it being stolen or misplaced.

The new USB 1.1 Superbooster for Interactive Whiteboards is one of the only solutions on the market designed and engineered for compatibility with 300 series and 500 series Promethean, SMART®, and other interactive whiteboard models. It extends USB1.1 signals up to 40m (131ft), supporting any interactive whiteboard. Other USB extension solutions use a chipset that is incompatible with interactive whiteboards which can cause dropped signals and/or periodic spikes when the solutions are used together. The booster is powerful–yet simple–with no drivers to install or special software required, and is compatible with any computer that supports USB.

With the “Adapt.Convert.Transform.” marketing campaign and InfoComm courses, C2G is educating users, resellers, and distribution partners in seamlessly managing the transition of analog to digital connectivity. Innovative products from C2G simplify the path to digital, represent an expansion of their respective product lines, and provide greater flexibility, easy installation, and the ability to extend audio and video signals over long distances.

InfoComm 2013 attendees can see and learn more about these solutions from C2G at Booth 2681. As the trusted expert in A/V and IT connectivity, C2G offers a wide array of hassle-free solutions to meet every need and budget, enabling effortless integration along with the flexibility and scalability to upgrade as technology changes to support the digital standard.
