ACS – - formerly Telcordia Research – - is a 260 person research and engineering firm that was acquired by Ericsson in early 2012 and was subsequently sold to systems engineering and integration leader The SI Organization, Inc.

“2012 was a year of extraordinary transition for ACS,” said Brent Greene, ACS president and chief executive officer. “Joanne’s leadership and contributions across a wide array of strategic, operational, and, often, unique issues were exceptional and powerful.”

Notable accomplishments by Ferris during the ACS transition included:

  • Planning and implementing the transition and “in-flight” operations of nearly a dozen financial and administrative systems and processes
  • Ensuring a smooth contract novation process for nearly 30 unique ACS clients
  • Managing ACS’s evolving financial strategy in the face of Federal sequestration impacts

“Obviously, you don’t navigate through the challenges we faced without an extraordinary support team, and extensive help from your executive peers,” noted Ferris. “We are a stronger company today because of the challenges we overcame and the cohesiveness it produced.”
