Hard Work in the Channel Earns Well-Deserved Recognition for One of Barracuda’s Channel Directors

Campbell, CA (PRWEB) June 24, 2013

Barracuda Networks, Inc., a leading provider of security and storage solutions, today announced that Leigh Malizia-Carlson, regional sales director at Barracuda, has been recognized by CRN as one of the top Women of the Channel. CRN’s annual list recognizes nearly 300 female executives across vendor channel organizations, distributors and solution providers for their accomplishments over the past year, and for the far-reaching impact they are having on the technology industry going forward. This year’s Women of the Channel were chosen by the editors of CRN based on their achievements as executives and the amount of influence they wield over the technology channel.

Leading up to her Women of the Channel selection with Barracuda, Malizia-Carlson worked as a strategic channel manager. In that role, she identified and grew key national partners to enhance Barracuda’s enterprise business. Today, she leads a team of sales and channel reps who are working to grow the business of Barracuda’s top-tier partners.

“We honor and congratulate this list of influential women who are dedicated to supporting the mission of the channel,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, UBM Tech Channel. “For years, we have identified and celebrated the women who have made an indelible mark on the technology industry through unmatched innovation and razor focus on meeting the needs of the IT channel community.”

“Leigh put in a lot of hard work in the channel this year, and this recognition is well deserved and one we’re proud to be a part of at Barracuda,” said Rick Sloane, director or North American channels, Barracuda Networks. “It’s been an incredibly productive year for Barracuda’s channel program, and we’ve been investing to get the right resources in place to best support our channel. Leigh’s achievement helps underscore the ongoing success of those efforts.”

A special feature of the Women of the Channel is in the June issue of CRN magazine and expanded coverage of The 100 Most Powerful Women of the Channel is featured online at crn.com.
