Defense Point Security, LLC (DPS), the choice provider of Cyber Security services to the Federal Government, announced the appointment of Bryce E. Kunz as Vice President of Computer Network Exploitation (CNE). Bryce Kunz (MBA, CISSP, OSCP) has been involved with the Computer Security Industry for over fifteen years. Over these years, he has served as an exploitation analyst for the Department of Defense and as the manager for Incident Response at Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) OneNet Security Operations Center (SOC). These experiences have instilled within Bryce a deep understanding of how information systems are currently being compromised by sophisticated hackers, now commonly known as Advanced Persistent Threats (APT).

“The science of cyber espionage and our dependency on networked devices are both evolving at an exponential rate, which has created an environment where even the most secure entities have to carefully assess how cyber actors may impact their mission,” said Kunz. “My goal as leader of DPS’s Computer Network Exploitation (CNE) Services is to research and develop cutting edge technologies that will enable organizations to better understand the real world risks they are accepting on a daily basis and then help organizations apply best of breed technologies to effectively mitigate risk in an approach tailored specifically for each individual organization.”

Kunz is an avid researcher and developer in the field of network exploitation. His zeal for technology drives him to innovate, while his expertise in business processes helps him create real world solutions to help organizations effectively address the latest cyber threats. Kunz holds an MBA with an emphasis in Information Assurance from Idaho State University (ISU) and a B.S. in Information Systems from Brigham Young University – Idaho (BYUI). He is a Certified Information Systems Security Practitioner (CISSP) and an Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP).
