“We launched LiveHive with tight integration into the Google ecosystem where we have been successful in attracting 2000+ customers. Now, we’re launching the same level of integration for our Microsoft-based customers,” said Laura Lilyquist, Vice President of Marketing at LiveHive. “Our integration with key Microsoft cloud solutions allows our customers to work with Google, Office and Dropbox documents within the same workspace.”
LiveHive now supports Microsoft Exchange and Office environments, and with its new OneLogin and Ping Identity partnerships, LiveHive can be accessed via Active Directory credentials and easily deployed by businesses using either service for identity management purposes. Single sign-on capabilities enable LiveHive to be provisioned alongside other cloud-based applications making the solution accessible by enterprise employees to collaborate, streamline and increase project efficiency in the workplace.
“Social business software is evolving from being a way to simply post status updates, share news and ask questions, to collaborative workspaces focused on enhancing a specific business process such as sales, marketing or engineering,” said Alan Lepofsky, Vice President and Principal Analyst at Constellation Research. “Integration with multiple content sources, enterprise applications and corporate identities are key components in ensuring people have a seamless and effective experience.”
By integrating with SkyDrive, LiveHive introduces an industry first by enabling users to edit both their Office documents and Google Docs from within LiveHive workspaces without ever having to download and re-upload to the cloud. SkyDrive is now included alongside Dropbox and Google Drive in LiveHive’s workspace navigation panel. SkyDrive users simply agree to allow LiveHive integration and all files saved in SkyDrive will appear and are instantly available on any device. With SkyDrive integration, users are able to take Office files and bring them to life through LiveHive’s core ability to seamlessly collaborate, organize and share content from any desktop, handset or tablet.
LiveHive has also added an extension for Internet Explorer to enable customers to capture live webpages while browsing. Captured webpages, images and text are automatically saved into designated workspaces along with other documents and files. The extension also enables users to stay current with a view of their live activity stream.
