CyberBully Hotline Partners with American School Counselor Association on Bully Prevention Specialist Program
Brand-new program will train school counselors on bully prevention and response tactics
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) July 11, 2013
The CyberBully Hotline, a leader in anonymous bully reporting in US schools, and the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) announced today the two organizations have partnered to help stop the increased number of bullying incidences in U.S. schools by offering a new Bully Prevention Specialist Training Program.
“The pervasive nature of bullying in our schools is unimaginable. When we created this anonymous reporting tool more than two years ago, it has been and will continue to be our goal to stop bullying. Period.” said Paul Langhorst, chief marketing officer at the CyberBully Hotline. “By partnering with ASCA on this new prevention program, we are giving school counselors the much needed training and support to prevent bullying from happening in our learning communities.”
With underwriting support from the CyberBully Hotline, the http://www.cyberbullyhotline.com/asca-bullying-prevention-specialist.html?utm_source=cyberbullyhotline&utm_medium=Webpage utm_campaign=ASCA_BTS_HomePage [Bully Prevention Specialist __title__ Bully Prevention Training Program]program is free to ASCA members and will help school counselors gain valuable knowledge to prevent, recognize, respond to, and eliminate incidences of bullying from their school. Dr. Richard Wong, ASCA Executive Director said, “ASCA is very excited to partner with the CyberBully Hotline to help stop bullying in our schools. Because of this partnership, ASCA members can access training based on the most up-to-date research on this very important topic.”
Participants will earn five IACET-accredited CEUs (equal to 50 contact hours) upon completion of the program which requires taking short online quizzes to indicate mastery of the subject matter and writing a curriculum action plan which addresses bullying prevention in your school.
