Woodland Hills, CA (PRWEB) July 15, 2013

Infocast, the leading producer of business intelligence events in dealing with new policies and regulations presents the 3rd Safer Consumer Products Summit: National Policy Outlook this September 17-19 in Washington, D.C.

As congress works on reforming the 37 year-old Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), states like Maine, Massachusetts, Oregon and Washington are acting to pass Safer Products regulations in the absence of TSCA reform to ensure consumer goods are free of chemicals of concern. The Summit will provide the most up-to-date information available on the rapid evolution of consumer safety regulations, including both existing state-level changes and emerging state and Federal initiatives, including TSCA Reform. It will also bring together nationally recognized green chemistry pioneers and experts, leading consumer brands, manufacturers, retailers and other stakeholders across the supply chain will assemble to strategize the changes necessary to ensure regulatory compliance in the new era and to take advantage of the benefits that green chemistry can provide for new and reformulated product design, production and marketing.

Dr. Paul Anastas “the Father of Green Chemistry”, Jim Jones, the Assistant Administrator of EPA’s OCSPP, Bob Boughton of California DTSC and Lynn Bergeson of Bergeson & Campbell P.C. headline the program and are joined by a dynamic group of speakers, including Amway, BioAmber, Breast Cancer Fund, Clorox, DuPont, Method, Shaw Industries, the Sustainability Consortium, Tarkett, Waste Management, W.S.
