McLaren Software Announces Mobile and Web Access for McLaren Enterprise
Universal Access to a Single Point of Truth for Capital Projects and Asset Documentation
Houston, TX (PRWEB) July 16, 2013
McLaren Software, leaders in engineering document control and project collaboration solutions announce remote web access for McLaren Enterprise via laptop, smartphone and tablet devices.
McLaren Enterprise is an enterprise scale document control suite that ensures a single point of truth for both capital projects and asset operations documentation. Adding remote support via an HTML5 user interface enables authenticated users to securely access, search and view documentation from any supported mobile, tablet, desktop or laptop devices without the need to install or update software.
All users are automatically directed to the latest approved document or drawing while security is maintained via McLaren Enterprise user login credentials ensuring the integrity of the documentation. Role, business process or security changes applied to McLaren Enterprise are immediately available to every user without the need for application updates.
The adoption of HTML5 technology enables users the flexibility to access information managed by McLaren Enterprise from any internet-enabled device and lays the foundation for a simpler unified user experience across all McLaren products.
“Providing remote access is the latest in a line of enhancements to simplify and speed user access to documentation managed and controlled by McLaren Enterprise,” said Paul Muir, CEO of McLaren Software. “We believe the value of an engineering document control system is proportional to the number of users who use the system, irrespective of their role. Whether you are a document controller, engineer, project manager or external contractor, there is now a controlled way of accessing validated documentation to support your task. This is the first release of the McLaren Enterprise mobility strategy with many more innovative features already specified in collaboration with the McLaren Customer Advisory Board,” said Muir.
